This page contains an overview of the cookies we use on this website. This information may change regularly, for example because our website is modified or because the regulations concerning cookies change. Of course, we do our best to keep this information as up-to-date as possible, so we recommend that you check this page regularly. Then you can always decide if you want to adjust the cookie settings in case of changes. We distinguish between the following types of cookies Functional cookies Analytical cookies Advertising cookies Identification/authentication cookies Social media cookies Functional (necessary) cookies These are necessary for the website to function properly. The functional cookies are used, for instance, to remember your website preferences. As a result, you only have to indicate your preferences once in terms of accepting or rejecting cookies, for example. Analytical cookies The analytical cookies enable us to analyse the use of the website. This allows us to continuously improve functionalities and content of the website.

Advertising cookies

Advertising cookies are used to display relevant content/advertisements. This allows us to better tailor content to your personal preferences and display a better website.

Identification / authentication cookies (I/A cookies)

I/A cookies are used to identify visitors after they have interacted with the website. Interaction means, for example, filling in a contact form, downloading a brochure or clicking on a link after receiving an e-mail from us. The data we collect from such interaction records are never shared with third parties.

Social media cookies

The share buttons (from various social media) under our blog/news articles keep track of how often a particular article has been shared. They do this by means of a script (piece of code) coming from these social media themselves. In some cases, this sets cookies.

What we track on our website

What cookies do we use and what do we use them for?

Let's start by saying that you can of course disable your cookies, you do this in the settings of your browser. However, you may not get the optimal experience.

Back to content. At BB Curacao we use several cookies, which make your visit to our website more pleasant and easier. For example, they can make sure you don't have to enter your password every time or that we can better give you the information you need.

Below is the list with a small explanation of why we use them:

Google Analytics with this we track which pages are 'doing well' and which we still need to improve. All data in Google Analytics is anonymised as much as possible and thus cannot be traced back to individuals. We have chosen not to keep your data at user level for an unnecessarily long time; in Google Analytics we do so for a maximum of 26 months. This allows us to compare trends over the past 2 years. More information on this can be found here.

Google Optimize with this we test our website very specifically to make it ever so slightly better. Nothing exciting, we look for example at which colour button is clicked more often. You won't notice this and we can't trace the test results back to you as an individual in any way.

Google Tag Manager (activated on all pages), which allows us to manage and adjust all our tools described above.
